Hello, I'm Thomasina but you can call me Sina. I've been in childcare for over 15 years. I have work in large centers, like John Hopkins Martin Luther King Jr early learning center where I worked from infant thru 2 years old. Family centers with infant to school age. To smaller learning daycare where I am usually the infant room teacher. I am a High school graduate with my 90 hrs in early childhood learning and development. I have 4 beautiful children a 21 year old daughter that attends Towson University, one teenage Son attending Mervo this school year. Two younger children 11 girl and 9 boy. I have took a few year off from child care to experience new things but found myself back with my passion. I love being apart of those first stages of a child's development. The experiences I've had with children and their families have been just as a great impact on me as it was for them. I do light housework, and will help with children laundry. Anytime the daycare closed for holidays or break, I'd always offer parents the option to keep them at my home which always came as a great convenience for my working parents.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love rain play, we splash puddles, play in mud, find bugs. We create rainbows and compare the sky as the clouds begin to change. It's a big hit in the summer and great learning for spring and fall.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a child care provider is knowing I was apart of the first stages that developed their love for learning. Knowing I helped prepare them for their 1st day of kindergarten.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a spent a great amout of time with children with Autism. As a Godmother to a child with Autism and have worked with several children on different Autism Spectrums, my patience and gentleness has a way that just offer a safe space for my special friends.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was pregnant my classes parents gave my a surprise baby shower. It was one of the best things I have ever had any of my parents do. It really showed me just how important and loved I was from my babies parents. I would never forget how that made me feel. Best moment ever.
