A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Tiana and I’ve had ample experience with children of all ages. I have been a live in Au Pair for a family in Australia, and have worked with other families consistently as their children have grown up. I recently renewed my First Aid/CPR certification, I have my degree in Public Health, and have worked numerous jobs from summer camps, daycares, and as an assistant for the department of child safety. When I was in college, I volunteered for the non profit Aviva Children’s services, and ran fundraisers like hygiene or undergarment drives. I am hoping to find a family that I can work with part time - and that I can forge a long lasting relationship with. 🤗

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My first job was working as a camp counselor for an after school day camp, overseeing children from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I would leading daily activities like arts and crafts, or dodgeball, and spending time helping with homework. I am also the oldest of 5 children - inadvertently I was a babysitter at 13! During college, I worked with the same two families every summer break. In my senior year of college I interned with the department of child safety, started a non profit that brought yoga to foster youth and volunteered at Aviva Children’s center running collection drives. I also worked at LA fitness children’s center for 2 summers, which was a bit more chaotic, but caring for children nonetheless (:

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending time with children, hearing their thoughts, and exploring their creativity. Children can be amused and entertained by a range of things, and I try to listen to what they’re passionate about and encourage/foster further knowledge in those topics. Hanging out is easy when you let them tell you what their version of fun is!

Too many special moments to count - but my favorite, most easily explained, nanny moment was when the young girl (4) I used to be a live in nanny for, came down the stairs for breakfast at 6AM in her mom’s high heel boots. Little Vivy was jealous of her mom’s work outfit that day haha
