Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a live-in nanny for a private family in Miami Beach caring for a 7-year-old and an infant, managing full days from 6:30am to 8pm. I also worked as a behavior technician for children with autism and spent a summer as a residential camp counselor for kids ages 12 to 14.

Arts and crafts, imaginative play, storytelling, music, dancing, science projects, outdoor activities and anything creative. I love finding out what a child is into and building on that with them.

Trust. The family has to trust you completely and the children have to feel safe with you. Everything else flows from that.

I worked as a behavior technician with children with autism spectrum disorder including a nonverbal child I communicated with through an AAC tablet. I implemented individualized behavior plans, collected data and built genuine connections with each child
The most important part about being a nanny...
The baby I nannied started calling me mom because I was such a consistent presence in her life. She was still learning who was who and I was just always there. It was one of the sweetest things that has ever happened to me.
