Hi, I have 15+ years of experience with infants and children. I’m available morning or evening. I enjoy being with children and communicating with them through talking, reading and singing. I worked in a hospital in Family Birth Center and in SICU for ten years while attending college. I volunteered and also babysat children with special needs. Later I worked in a private country club in administration for 12 years and helped members at home with childcare, house sitting, elder care and pet sitting. Being a nanny/sitter has always been a big part of my life because I’m nurturing, patient and I love to engage with people and babies/children. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Presently I help 3 wonderful families with child care.

I travelled with a family to watch their infant daughter in Cayman Island, Las Vegas and Utah.

I babysat for a family with a young daughter with disabilities. She was a sweetheart and loved showing me her arts/crafts and pictures. I engaged with her a lot and combed/braided her hair and made her smile often.

For another family, I watched 2 boys while the parents were working, had date nights, and when they travelled to Italy for their anniversary. I was the nanny and house manager and I checked to make certain the boys completed homework assignments and I made their lunches and did grocery shopping. I took them to school and sport activities.

I nannied for another family for a 3 year old and 5 month old daughters. I spent the whole day with the girls and was their nanny full time.

In high school I tutored grade school children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It depends what age groups.

With babies and toddlers I enjoy reading to them, going for walks, playing and singing children songs together. Engaging with them and feeding their curiosity.

With older kids it’s what interests them, like games and sports. For one of the families I used to take the boys to soccer and hockey practice every week and I watched them play and encouraged them.

For another family I took the girls on daily walks before lunch and we sang songs and looked at flowers, then we drew flowers with chalk on the driveway.

I enjoy engaging with babies and children and every age is precious with how excited they are to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being a part of a child’s life. I have had great experiences being a part of a family and I feel blessed to have spent vacations and holidays with different families. I’ve celebrated different cultures and religious holidays and that is very special to me.

My experience with special needs children...

Other than watching the sweetest young girl with Down Syndrome, I worked with special needs children in a community center. We played board games and I also assisted them in the swimming pool.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many wonderful nanny moments and all are so special to me. From newborn babies to pre teens, babies and kids have left a mark on my heart.❤️

I had the pleasure of traveling with a family to the Cayman Islands and watching their baby girl. When we waited for our plane she fell asleep in my arms and her mom took pictures. It’s such a sweet moment because the family appreciated me and made me feel a part of the family.

One of my favorite moments was when a 6 yr old boy who I was watching said that he wants me to be the person he admired on ‘show and tell’ at school because I’m so “cool”. This was because I played hockey with him and his little brother and made them ‘dessert plates’ which were actually all fruit plates in fun patterns. They loved art because their family owned an art gallery so I included fun mosaic patterns in jello and fruit plates that I made for them. I also jumped on the trampoline with them so maybe that’s why I was cool😁
