Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
During the summer of 2018 I was a shallow lifeguard at Wild waves in Washington, which meant I watched over children in our childrens waterpark. I also used to work for LA fitness which required me to sometimes fill in for our kids club.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m all for encouragement of creative outlets and learning. For younger kids I enjoy reading books to help with advancement of reading and picture learning. With older kids I would introduce them to puzzles, reading and painting. I believe all children of all ages should get a lot of outside playtime such as going to the park, beach, or even just a stroll around the block.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not cared for children with special needs, but growing up my younger brother had a learning and speaking disability which set him back from other kids in his class. Growing up it was hard to understand what he wanted or what he was saying, but it aided in my patience and helped me understand how hard it is for kids like him.
