I enjoy learning what each child likes and planning fun, age-appropriate activities around their interests. Depending on the child, this may include arts and crafts, reading, music, outdoor play, trips to the park, games, or simple cooking activities. The most important part of being a nanny is giving parents peace of mind. Parents have to work, but they should be able to focus knowing their children are safe, loved, and in good hands.
I understand this firsthand because, before I was married, I raised my children as a single mother. I had to place them in daycare when they were only six weeks old, which was very difficult. Fortunately, I found loving childcare providers who made me feel comfortable and supported. That experience taught me how important trust, communication, dependability, and genuine care are to both children and their parents.

There were so many fun moments, but one of my favorites was watching a child I cared for start kindergarten. Seeing the child’s excitement and growth made it such a proud and memorable moment for me.
