More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Over the years, I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience caring for children of various ages through close family and community relationships. Though my childcare background is informal, it has taught me patience, creativity, and strong communication skills. I have regularly supervised small groups of children during family gatherings, holiday parties, and weekend babysitting for relatives. My role often included creating fun, structured activities, maintaining a safe and tidy environment, and helping children stay engaged and cooperative.
Parents and family members have consistently trusted me to be the responsible adult in the room—ensuring the kids’ safety, resolving minor conflicts, and keeping their “messy fun” contained to one space. These experiences helped me develop a calm, nurturing presence and a strong sense of accountability—qualities I’m eager to bring into a more professional childcare setting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I genuinely enjoy engaging with children in ways that both entertain and enrich them. I love introducing younger kids to stimulating, educational programs I grew up with—like Reading Rainbow or Dragon Tales—because I believe in balancing fun with learning, rather than overstimulating screen time.
I also enjoy hands-on activities like playing board games, coloring, reading stories aloud, and diving into imaginative “make-believe” play. I’ve found that when I fully step into their world and make them feel seen and heard, it becomes easier to guide them through routines like homework or chores without resistance.
With older children, I apply the same principle—meeting them where they are, respecting their growing independence and evolving worldviews while maintaining structure and consistency. Ultimately, I believe the most lasting impact comes from showing up with genuine interest in their world, not just managing it.

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is really understanding the kids I care for, their personalities, what kind of structure helps them feel secure, and how I can fit into that to support the family as a whole. Every child is different, and I take pride in learning what makes them feel seen, heard, and encouraged. I want to be someone who not only helps with day-to-day routines but also plays a small part in helping the family progress and find balance in the best possible way.
