Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked with 3 & 4 yr olds in a day care during my college years at LaPetite Academy in Arlington, TX. This was in the 1980’s.
While living in TX after my divorce, I became a nanny for a family in Plano, TX who had a 1 yr old & a 5 yr old. I was responsible for supervising the children during breakfast while patents were getting ready to leave for work. I did light cleaning around the house, mostly in the kitchen after meals & in the playroom as I helped the kids pick up toys, etc.
Sometimes I took the kids for short walks & had fun using my imagination during play time.
I sang with the children & we watched fun educational videos. I would make up educational worksheets for the kids to complete that addressed beginning skills like colors, numbers, letters, family, and animals.
The kids and I had fun exercising and dancing to music. Music makes the world much more fun!
Above all, I was always responsible for the children’s safety and I never left them alone.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy singing & dancing with children. I can do physical activities like stretching, jumping jacks, jogging in place, etc & all more fun to music. While teaching we also counted as we did our reps in the exercises. I’ve played softball, basketball, bowled some, and ran & participated in field events which can all be scaled down to younger children. I know some line dances & many cheers that I can teaching children. I love arts & crafts as well. Children love to make beautiful creations. I love nature & using nature on a walk to bring back to the house & make art with using any sort of paint is very fun! Ingredients is fun & students can use the dough to make many forms of art. Kneading the dough is good to help children with fine motor skills. Making art from shapes can be very fun & helps children identify shapes and colors. Cooking is fun too!
