A little bit about me

Semi-retired Mother/Baby/Newborn Nursery Registered Nurse with 20 years experience. I have an adult son and two grandchildren ages 3 and 16 months. I’m Certified in Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
Extensive knowledge with breast and bottle-feeding, milk storage, burping, bathing, diapering, swaddling, newborn positioning, sleep hygiene, and a host of newborn comfort measures. Safety is always paramount when caring for your baby.
I’ve always loved babies, and very passionate regarding their care and well-being. Most of my experience has been with my family and friends, my paid experience has been within the hospital environment. Over the years, politics and the introduction of computers has had a significant impact on patient care. Today, nurses spend less time at the bedside, and more time in front of the computer charting. I love the hands on care and primarily my reasoning for becoming a nurse. I’m new to the Nanny/Caretaker Role outside of the hospital environment; however, the same principles, practices, and values I continue to apply. It would give me great pleasure to have the opportunity to share my knowledge, experience and skill with you and your family.
