More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been an art teacher for 10 years now. I’ve taught kids and adults different mediums. Ive taught art in after school programs for palm beach public school after school programs from kindergarten to fifth grade. I’ve also volunteered for big brother big sister.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Of course I love doing arts and crafts with all children, especially those for whom ive been a nanny and for my own four children as well. Music, singing, dancing are other activities I also love to do with children

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having a connection with a child and showing them care and affection is an amazing feeling. Feeling happy to be at work everyday is also very important to me. The last child I was a nanny for, cried when I was leaving. I felt terrible that she cried, however, it felt so good that she loved me.

My experience with special needs children...

My two sons were learning disabled, one of them was on the Asperger’s spectrum and one had ADHD and was slow to learn. I’ve spent a lot of time helping them to thrive in spite of their disabilities .

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel very proud when I have accomplished getting a child on a schedule who had previously given their parents and/or prior caregivers much difficulty in staying on one (including napping, eating new meals, and homework). The parents are always grateful that I can turn things around to make things much easier for them and always ask “How did you do that?”
