More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent seven years at the New Beginnings Child Development Center in Fort Huachuca, caring for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Initially, I worked with infants for three years, then was promoted to lead a toddler room, where I spent another joyful three years until I left for university.

Before this, I nannied for two years for a family that grew from two to three children, and I've continued to babysit for them. Nine years since we first met, I still consider them and their children family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in a variety of activities that stimulate their minds, bodies, and creative spirits.
For physical activity, we might have a dance party, play tag, or explore nature on a walk.
Creatively, I enjoy guiding them through arts and crafts projects, like painting, drawing, or collage which allows them to express themselves artistically.
Music is another passion; we might sing songs or even create our own silly songs.
Storytime is a favorite, as it nurtures their imagination and love for reading.
For educational fun, I love interactive science experiments or playful math games to make learning engaging.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel loved and valued. It's about being a consistent presence that they can rely on, someone who listens to them, understands their needs, and encourages their growth. Building a trusting relationship is key, one where they feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their world; teaching them kindness, respect, and curiosity.
Ultimately, it's the profound impact we have on their lives, guiding them through their formative years with care and compassion, that makes this role so significant.
It truly takes a village to raise a child, and this saying holds a deep truth. I'm grateful to be a part of every village I join because, in doing so, we collectively contribute to shaping the future of our world.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I really had to think because there's been so many rewarding moments. Once I organized a spur-of-the-moment fashion show for the children. We rolled out a yoga mat in the center of the living room and they would all run to their rooms to change before come out and walking the runway. We laughed at all the ridiculous poses and the pictures I got. It's still something the kids bring up and it's been over 7 years now. Sometimes it's the spontaneous activities that reap the most rewarding times!
