More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a Navy Corpsman and gained a wide range of experience supporting families in high-responsibility situations. My care experience extends beyond medical training — it includes cooking, approachability, resilience, patience, and a natural paternal instinct for looking after the tiny humans placed in my care.
Most of my hands-on childcare has been with my niece and nephews, including those with special needs. I always follow instructions closely, and I genuinely appreciate written instructions when available. If something unexpected comes up, I use the information I have to make the best, safest decisions to protect, entertain, and care for the children under my supervision.
I take that responsibility seriously, and I strive to bring steadiness, kindness, and reliability into every home I support.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging with kids through their special interests — whether that’s video games, tea parties, animal care, organizing their space, homework help, chatting, or cooking together. I’m flexible and happy to follow your child’s lead. It’s their childhood, and I want them to feel free to explore, play, and enjoy being kids while they have that chance.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, one of the most important parts of being a nanny is giving families a bit of breathing room in a world that rarely offers it. I want to support both parents and children by creating a steady, peaceful environment where everyone has space to grow.
I’m committed to developing my skills as a nanny and approaching this new step in my life with openness and responsibility. My goal is to be approachable, dependable, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the children I care for.

My experience with special needs children...
I am a disabled Navy veteran, and while I don’t claim to know every possible need a child may have, I am committed to working closely with you and your child to ensure those needs are met. I spent several years caring for my autistic nephew, whose special interest was The Little Mermaid 2 — we watched it together countless times, and supporting his routines taught me patience, flexibility, and how important it is to meet kids where they are.
I don’t hold a formal special-needs care license, but I do bring experience, steadiness, kindness, and a willingness to listen and adapt. Every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and safe, and I take that responsibility seriously.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments when caring for children is seeing their faces light up when someone takes their special interests seriously. Kids put a lot of time and heart into the things they love, and having an adult genuinely engage in those topics means the world to them. Watching them light up as they share what they’ve learned feels like a privilege, and it’s one of the parts of childcare I value most.

Hi there!
I am an EMT who recently stepped down from a full time position in Portland to study full time in preparation for medical school! I grew up in Kelso and now live in Castle Rock! I have lots of experience in child care from my many years volunteering in the nursery and children’s program at my home church!
I also have 6 years experience spending my summers volunteering at a camp for families with kids with special needs and am happy to accommodate/learn/work with any complex needs your child may come with!
As an EMT I have plenty of experiencing providing life saving care to people of all ages and will carry that safety mindset over to caring for your family!

I love working with kids and I plan to be a teacher. I’m a 16-year-old girl, I spend most of my time working towards my career and to help others out, I love going outside and playing with the kiddos, and cooking. I hope I can find someone that will appreciate my care because it’s all out of love. 💗
