A little bit about me

I relocated to Seattle April 2023 and am a play-based assistant director and Preschool and Pre-K teacher during the day. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I began my teaching journey as a preschool teacher before quickly moving up to a Pre-K Teacher & Administrator. I received my A.A. in Childhood Education in 2021 with original plans of becoming an elementary school teacher. I began my childhood care journey as a babysitter over an decade ago and ventured off into nannying about eight years ago, which has been my favorite part of it all! I continuously strive to and pride myself on being hardworking, responsible, dedicated, caring, and creative.
My spare time is spent baking, doing yoga, and traveling. I have also begun dabbling in cooking with a New Year's goal of making one homemade recipe a day.
In my work, I dedicate my time to ensuring and love to come prepared with age-appropriate and interactive activities and/or adventures.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am both an assistant director and early childhood teacher, leading two (2) classrooms of 40 three-five year olds (20 in each). I hold a certification in First Aid, AED & CPR. I have extensive WA-certified training, in NY as well. I began teaching as a preschool teacher in 2020 after being a nanny for a family of 5. I have also babysat continuously since 2012.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything creative and artistic. I love to bake, create, and enable the little ones to use their imaginations. I enjoy spending time outdoors and with little trips with walks, at the beach, bakeries, parks, the zoo/ aquarium, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of any job in the childcare field is to constantly provide care and love. While you work, you are the next in line after the parents in making sure the children are safe, cared for, loved, and making the most out of their childhood.

My experience with special needs children...

I have minimal experience with special needs care but would love to learn more. I have had the pleasure of providing care for a child on the spectrum for about 5 years, as a sitter.

The most important part about being a nanny...

With my previous family I have a load of favorites memories, but maybe the best is when my little ones were learning through dramatic play and they had a “village” of the 5 of them where they held “jobs”, ran for mayor of the village and explored the world!
