More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Back in Venezuela, I regularly helped take care of my younger cousins after school, helping with homework, preparing snacks, and keeping them entertained with games and crafts. In addition to family, I also cared for the children of some close family friends who needed extra help during weekdays or weekends. Since moving to Florida, I’ve continued working with families in my community, mostly in the evenings or during school breaks. These experiences taught me how to adapt to different routines, personalities, and parenting styles while always keeping the kids’ safety and happiness as a priority.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love arts and crafts, storytelling, and building creative little worlds through games. I also enjoy doing nature-based activities like drawing plants, creating mini gardens, and going on little “exploration walks” outside. I try to mix fun and learning in everything we do, whether it’s a puzzle, a baking session, or reading time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part is building trust, both with the children and the parents. It’s about being present, showing empathy, and creating a nurturing environment where kids feel safe to be themselves and parents feel at ease knowing their children are in good hands.
My experience with special needs children...
I once helped a family friend care for her son, who had mild sensory processing challenges. I learned to be patient and adaptable, using visual schedules and calm routines that helped him feel safe and understood. I’m always open to learning more about how to support each child’s individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was helping a little girl build her own “city” out of cardboard boxes and recycled materials. We spent hours designing parks, drawing tiny roads, and making buildings. Seeing how proud she was to show it to her parents was such a sweet and rewarding feeling.
