More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In high school, I was accepted to be part of a teaching academy program. Throughout my four years I was able to team teach at a variety of elementary schools to kids from kinder-5th grade. My first job out of high school I worked as an assistant at a childcare facility.
My family in Illinois is large and tight-net so I spent most of my childhood watching over young cousins and siblings. Throughout high-school and college, I also nannied for several different families, ranging from newborns to young adults, I have experience with some special needs and dietary restrictions. My longest nannying job was for a family of two toddlers that I watched for over a year and a half full-time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When it comes to children, I love playing scavenger hunts, dancing, building obstacle courses, gardening together, cooking or baking as a team, watching movies, rock painting, playing board games, playing charades, going on nature walks, or creating forts at home. Sometimes, I feel like I am a kid at heart myself!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in your care. This involves not only physical safety but also emotional and developmental support. Here are some key aspects I live by when being a nanny:
Safety and Supervision: Keeping children safe from physical harm and ensuring they are supervised at all times.
Emotional Support: Providing a nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued, and understood.
Developmental Guidance: Supporting the child’s growth through age-appropriate activities and learning opportunities.
Communication: Maintaining open and honest communication with parents about the child's needs, behaviors, and any concerns.
Adaptability: Being flexible and able to adjust to the changing dynamics of the family and the individual needs of each child.
Trustworthiness: Building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents, which is crucial for a successful nanny-family relationship.

The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many hilarious things that I’ve heard from my nanny kids over the years! A short but sweet one from a wonderful charge at barely 2 years old was:
Me: "Mummy says the museum sounds like a fantastic outing, and that she hopes you are super happy this morning."
2yo: *huge smile*
Me: "Are you super happy?"
2yo: “No" *huge smile*
Me: "What are you?"
2yo: "Awesome."
