A little bit about me

Hi, My name is Venus Bhatt and I am an undergraduate student (Class of 2024) at Dickinson College. I am an international student from Nepal, studying Neuroscience and Theatre. I am a cat mom of my 8 month old orange cat Theo. I am extremely good with kids, I grew up with a younger brother (5 years younger) and with around 5 more kids around 5-9 years younger than me in my community. I have always been surrounded by kids and am known to be the, “Babysitting sister” in my neighborhood. I love working with children because I love their passion for knowledge. Kids are always asking you questions and it’s extremely joyous to answer them. I also grew up with various pets throughout my life. I have never had a period in my life without any pets. My family has had 4 different dogs, two cats, various fishes, turtles, rabbits, birds and for once I have also pet sat my friend’s pet snake. I am extremely good at keeping plants alive and making dying plants thrive. I love organizing and cleaning.

My favorite moment was when I had around 5 kids, all in the age range of 4-5 and we played number games where each and every kid had to write the numbers in order and also spell them out. One kid told me that I was his favorite sister in the whole world and the others agreed. At that moment I had realized that all the hours I spent with the kids playing games with them was worth it.
