I’ve been caring for children professionally for 9 years, with 15 years total babysitting experience. I love the opportunity to explore, play, and bond with kids, and I understand and appreciate the responsibilities of being a role model and caregiver for children. It is my nature to be silly and curious, and I have not lost my sense of imaginative play--dressing up, reading and telling stories, and making arts and crafts are still some of my favorite things to do. I value connecting with and nurturing children of all ages, as well as ensuring I clearly and effectively communicate with parents to create a harmonious, smoothly running household for everyone.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For the past five summers, I've worked for Parks and Recreation, running Alberta Park's drop in summer camp and free lunch program. In addition to serving lunches a day, I got to create a curriculum of of activities for each day, including sports, arts & crafts, and recreational games. My favorite part was picking and planning new crafts to make every day, and because of that I know A LOT of different crafts you can make from simple household materials. I love trying out with new crafts for kids and seeing how they interpret the project with the materials given. I also love trips to the park, riding bikes or scooters around the neighborhood, and decorating the sidewalk with chalk. When the weather keeps us indoors, I love board games and making healthier versions of yummy baked goods. (:
