More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I had the opportunity to complete classroom observation and field practice experiences as part of my preparation to become an elementary school teacher. During these experiences, I worked alongside teachers in various classrooms, particularly with younger children in Pre-K and kindergarten. I assisted with classroom activities, engaged with students, provided support when needed, and helped maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, playing outside, going to parks, playing age-appropriate games, doing creative and educational activities, baking and cooking together, and helping children explore their interests. I especially enjoy activities that encourage creativity, learning, independence, and lots of positive interaction.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is the impact I can have on the entire family. I want parents to feel completely comfortable knowing their children are safe, happy, and in caring hands, allowing them to focus on work, responsibilities, or simply have time for themselves. At the same time, I want the children to feel valued and supported by giving them my full attention, patience, and care. Being able to make a family’s life easier while making a meaningful difference in a child’s life is what makes being a nanny so rewarding to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with autism and understand the importance of being patient, understanding, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs. While caring for a family with two younger children, I also cared for their 7-year-old who was autistic. I took the time to understand his communication style, interests, and routines and adapted activities and instructions in ways that were easier for him to understand and engage with. I remained patient and supportive while encouraging him to participate, communicate, and feel comfortable throughout our time together.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is having the opportunity to watch children grow and become the people they are today. There is something incredibly special about caring for a child when they are little and then getting to see their personality, confidence, and independence develop over time. It is especially meaningful when I see them again and they still remember me, recognize me, or get excited to see me. Those moments remind me that the time, care, and love I gave them made a lasting impact on their lives, and that is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny.

Babysitter Available in San Antonio, TX: Destiny O.
Hi, I’m Destiny! I’m a caring, dependable, and passionate childcare professional with 8 years of experience in early childhood care and 4 years of experience working in education. My experience includes working in both daycare and educational settings, where I have had the opportunity to care for, teach, and support children at different stages of their development. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, loved, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. I love creating a fun and positive environment where children can learn, play, explore, and build confidence while still having structure and consistency throughout their day. I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust in their home and with their children, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
