More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Although I am a young adult, I have many years of experience with children. I have worked at Breakthrough Miami, where I’ve worked with children aged 8-15. I am very comfortable with children especially children with a disability. I have personally taught a young girl with cerebral palsy how to add and subtract. I also have sisters so I am understanding and compassionate when it comes to younger children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing interactive activities such Simon Says or Red Light, Green Light. I also love playing board and card games. If given the opportunity to leave the house, I would go to the park to walk around and play on the playground. I personally love nature (with insect repellent of course) and going to the library.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part of being a nanny is being your child’s best friend that goes out of their way to make sure the child is cared for properly.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a child with Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome before. I am more familiar with Cerebral Palsy than Down syndrome, but I am a fast and patient learner

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I watched a toddler and she wanted to watch an unreleased, Disney movie. Can you imagine my nerves knowing I could not carry out that wish? Instead, we played with Cinderella dolls and watched the old Cinderella movie until her parents picked her up.
