My experience with special needs children...
During my time as a nanny, I had the opportunity to care for a wonderful child with diabetes. This experience taught me the importance of vigilance and compassion in managing their condition. I learned how to monitor blood sugar levels and administer insulin when necessary, ensuring the child received the proper care and support.
I made it a priority to educate myself about diabetes management, including recognizing signs of high and low blood sugar, and adhering to dietary restrictions.Additionally, I encouraged the child to stay active while being mindful of their condition. We enjoyed outdoor activities and games, ensuring that they had a balanced lifestyle. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by children with diabetes and learned how to provide emotional support.

It was a fun, messy, and delicious experience that brought us all closer together.
