Hi there! I'm 24 and have been living in West Des Moines for a little over a year now. My husband and I relocated from Bozeman MT as my husband is in his second year in Des Moines University’s DPM program. I’m an art teacher with a background as a camp counselor, and I absolutely love working with kids of all ages. Creativity, curiosity, and fun are at the heart of everything I do — whether we’re painting, building forts outside, or exploring a new hobby together. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

’ve been babysitting since high school and continued through college, caring for children of all ages and personalities. Along the way, I’ve also coached kids’ soccer and spent my summers as a camp counselor, which taught me how to balance fun, structure, and safety. Now, as an art teacher, I bring creativity and patience to everything I do, and I love helping kids learn, play, and grow in meaningful ways.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important thing as a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel loved, heard, and free to be themselves. Building trust and connection is at the heart of everything — it’s what allows kids to explore, learn, and grow with confidence. Whether we’re playing, learning, or simply spending quiet time together, I always strive to make them feel supported and valued.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have direct babysitting experience with children with special needs yet, but I’m very open to learning and would be honored to provide care and support. I understand how important patience, communication, and understanding are, and I’m committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for every child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a one-year-old I cared for start recognizing things around him with growing confidence. At first, he’d just point and smile when I named objects, but soon he began proudly saying the words himself — “ball,” “apple,” “car!” Every word felt like a little celebration of discovery, and seeing his excitement reminded me how amazing those small milestones can be.
