A little bit about me

Hey! My name is Whitney, and I am an older sister to three boys - aged 5,6, and 7. That alone has given me the opportunity to work with kids from newborn to elementary school. Beyond that, however, I was also a long-term babysitter for a family for almost five years, and I was a summer camp counselor for kids 6-9. I am also an education major at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I plan to teach math and theatre to high school students after I graduate, but while I am in school I enjoy gaining experience with kids. Nannying is the perfect job for me because it entails most of the things I love to do - I love to teach, I love art and crafts. I love getting to know young people, and I love helping.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The three kids that I babysat for quite a while became fixated with their devices, but whenever I came over they would set them down. I didn't even realize that this was abnormal until their parents told me that I was one of few people they would do that for. We always had so much fun every time I got to watch them. Our favorite game was Wax Museum in the dark with flashlights. Even when they became teenagers, they would always beg to play it.
