More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for children since the age of 13. I originally started off baby sitting my niece and nephews. Now I have children of my own, a 1 year old girl, 8 year old girl, and 12 year old boy.

I also hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am currently pursuing my master’s in psychology, which gives me valuable insight into child development and behavior.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids engaged with fun, creative, and educational activities. Some of my favorites include reading stories together, doing arts and crafts, and exploring outside when the weather is nice. I enjoy organizing games that help build teamwork and problem-solving skills, as well as simple hands-on science or learning activities that spark curiosity.

For younger children, I love sensory play, music, and imaginative activities like building forts or playing pretend. With older kids, I enjoy helping with homework, baking fun treats, or doing small DIY projects that let them express their creativity.

No matter the activity, I always aim to make it enjoyable, safe, and age-appropriate, creating moments that are both fun and meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

I also have experience working with children who have special needs. I’ve assisted my sister-in-law in caring for her brother, who requires specialized support, which has given me hands-on experience in providing patient, understanding, and consistent care. Through that experience, I’ve learned how important it is to create a calm and encouraging environment that meets each child where they are.

In addition, I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which has helped me develop a deeper understanding of child development, behavioral patterns, and emotional regulation. This background allows me to approach care with empathy, structure, and positive reinforcement.
