A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Xiomara Speaks and I am a sophomore at Benedict College. I am going to school to major in criminal justice and minor in family/ child development. I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas where my parents still live along with my younger brother. My experience with children started with my little brother. I became his babysitters on a regular basis. From there I started working as a daycare teacher for newborns - ten year olds. I really enjoy seeing children in both an educational and non-educational setting. I love using creative play, our imaginations, be active, read, and have fun with children. I also enjoy challenging kids and adding in educational aspects to play and taking their knowledge and understanding one step further. I believe every child has such great potential and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know every child as individuals and have their needs met. Some of my activities and hobbies are arts and crafts, exercise, and exploring nature.
