Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While volunteering at cedar I had the pleasure to work on the Peds floor. Engaged kids in physical therapy and also finding new tricks to give kids their medication. Even I as an adult dislike taking medicine. Every experience with these kids there have shaped who I am and also drive me towards my goal of one day becoming a peds doctor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art! Being able to see how kids see the world is one of the best things. Movies or even building forts. If they are the right age even being able to do crafts to allow them to express themselves without saying any words. Park days and even so my favorite beach days! Finding a good area to go tide pooling. The ocean is a beautiful place and I often use it to tell kids life is filled with endless opportunities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to see how they grow up. It's a gift in itself even if its for a short time period.
My experience with special needs children...
After graduating High school I volunteered at my old elementary to assist the transition from online to in persons classes. It was hard for many o f them to understand what was occurring but in the end with a little patience we at the end had a good day.
