We were learning about ecosystems. The kids gathered various items from the house for us to build fishing poles and lures. We walked down by the stream and collected sticks to construct our fishing poles. We dug in the dirt for worms and discovered many different kinds of insects. We attempted different means of catching bugs, fish, and other animals. Though we did not catch any fish, we made up for it through all the other exploration and experiences we enjoyed throughout that day. The kids, and I, not only learned, but had so much fun that day.
