A little bit about me

My name is Yasmin Assadi and I am 27 years old. I graduated from NC State in 2020 with a major in Human Biology. I’ve been babysitting for about 6 years and absolutely love spending time with kids. During the COVID-19 school shutdowns, I taught a learning pod of five 5th graders from Lacy Elementary School and had so much fun coming up with creative ways to make school exciting at home. I also spent 3 years teaching at Mathnasium, where I worked with students in grades 2-12 and helped them build confidence while learning new skills. Over the years, I’ve cared for children ages 1 to 18 and have babysat up to 7 children at once.
After graduating, I worked as a medical assistant/scribe and am now applying to medical school. Babysitting has always been something I truly enjoy because every child has their own personality and energy, and it’s so rewarding to watch them learn and grow. In my free time, I love to run, go to local run clubs, and I’m currently training for a half-marathon.
