"We are privileged to have Yesenia as our son's full-time nanny and I can’t say enough about what she means to our family. She has such an incredible bond with my son and he adores her and has thrived under her care.
Yesenia is both a thoughtful and professional nanny. With her background as a certified child development and preschool teacher she has been able to engage him with development activities as he has gotten older.
In addition to providing amazing care for our son, Yesenia takes care of our whole family. She helps with the laundry, cleaning and cooks healthy and delicious meals for my son and the entire family. She is the only person I trust to watch both my kids and has babysat outside her normal hours on several occasions and has stayed overnight with them for a weekend.
Yesenia is hardworking, dependable, and caring and we have treasured our time with her. We will always consider her a member of our family and whatever family she works with is incredibly lucky."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with children in many settings. As a daycare provider, I cared for ages newborn–5, structuring the day with lessons, activities, music, play, meals, and naps. As a preschool teacher, I taught ages 3–5 and also worked with infants and toddlers, supporting milestones and early learning. As a foster mom, I cared for newborns from Rady Children’s Hospital, completing 48 hours of hospital training to provide specialized infant care.
Most recently, I have worked as a nanny for two families, each for over two years. In this role, I plan and adapt activities that grow with the children, supporting their development as they transition from infancy into toddlerhood and beyond. I incorporate age-appropriate play and learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. My approach is guided by child development philosophy, including Erik Erikson’s framework, by fostering autonomy, building trust, and supporting social and emotional growth at each stage.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I provide a variety of age appropriate activities that support growth and development, including sensory play to strengthen fine motor skills, arts and crafts, story time, and structured learning through play. I also encourage exploration with outdoor activities such as walks, park play, and nature discovery, as well as trips to the library to foster a love of reading. Being bilingual, I also incorporate Spanish lessons into daily activities to support early language development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is giving families peace of mind, knowing their children are safe and cared for. I make safety my top priority while also focusing on teaching and supporting growth. For me, it is essential to help children build independence, encourage autonomy, and foster confidence as they learn and develop.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with special needs during my time as a preschool teacher. I believe that every child has a unique way of learning, and I strive to adjust my approach to meet their individual needs. My goal is always to provide support, encouragement, and patience while fostering confidence and a love for learning.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is seeing the goals a family and I set for their child come to life. For example, with my most recent family, the goal was for their son to become bilingual. Today, he speaks both English and Spanish fluently and watching him achieve that milestone has been such a rewarding and proud moment for me.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Oceanside, CA: Julia D.
Hello! My name is Julia, I am 21 years old and have 8 years of childcare experience. When I was 13 my niece was born and through living with her, I gained experience caring for infants and as she got older learned about caring for a toddler. My passion for childcare grew as I began working in the daycare facility at LA Fitness when I was 18. I routinely watched children from the ages of 3 months old up until 12 years old, with groups as many as 20+ kids at a time. After working in the daycare, I started regularly caring for families on Care. com and have since worked for many families with children of all ages. I am a very energetic and bubbly person and am comfortable with: diaper changes, bottle feeding, meal preparation and feeding, nap time, bed time, medication delivery, and homework. You name it, I've done it! And if there are new circumstances that I have yet to face, I am very adaptable and a quick learner. I look forward to meeting and growing with your family!
