I have also supported a child with eating challenges who needed encouragement and monitoring during meals. In these roles, I focused on patience, safety, understanding each child’s needs, and creating a calm, supportive environment where they could feel comfortable and cared for.

One of my favorite parts about working with kids is the little funny moments that come up naturally when they feel comfortable and safe. I love building that bond where students can be themselves, laugh, and just enjoy the moment. Seeing them relax, open up, and trust me enough to be silly or share things about their day is honestly one of the best feelings it makes the work really rewarding.
