A little bit about me

I Love kids! I have God kids but none of my own yet. I have been a nanny since I was 15. I was head lifeguard at an autistic camp and had a down syndrome nephew who I cared for. More recently I have been a preschool teacher and ran an after school program for a taekwondo studio. I take child care and health very seriously. It is an honor to help parents with rasing their children, educating them, and caring for them during their most important growing years. As a child care provider my number 1 job is to keep the children safe and my students will tell you, "Ms. Baker takes our safety very seriously." Of course fun learning, healthy eating, exercise, encouragement, and love are an important part of the mix as well. Children are such a precious gift which is why I am very passionate in assisting in their growth and development. It takes a village to raise a child and I am here to help any way I can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The fun ways I teach them to use their manners and wash their hands with songs that help them remember the words and that helps them remember the action. My ALL time favorite is when I dont want them to touch their paper or things I put in front of them until I'm done passing it out to all I would say in a funny voice, "no touchy, touchy" from Emperors New Groove movie and the kids just think its the funniest thing and they all start trying to say it in their own accents. Too cute!!
