When had my son I became really interested in child development and started working part time in child care centers. This is where I ran in to the Montessori method. I realized that a lot of the ideology in Montessori matched my own so I went to get my certification. I worked in the classroom for a couple years, then I decided to nanny full time. I love being able to have the one on one or small group time with the children. I've also been really fortunate to have families that are very receptive and wanted to work together to create an educational and fun experience for the kids during the day. I left and got a job back in the district as an on-site pre school director and teacher. Kids are my passion! I have tons of trainings through the Colorado PDIS site and have EQIT as well as infant safe sleep practices. I love being outdoors and cooking and reading.
