More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was an assistant teacher for 5years in my country. Worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and took care off tons of my nieces and nephews
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, playing games indoors and outdoors, teaching kids to read and write, allowing the kids to help me make their snacks, doing lego, puzzles, playing make belief games, most of all having fun together
The most important part about being a nanny...
Typically I spend 9 to 10 hrs/per day with children, so to do good on the job, 1st I've to love kids, which I do tremendously. I enjoy having fun with kids of different ages, also being patient and calm is what made me a caring and professional nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
Although I haven't taken care of special needs children, I believe if given the opportunity I would excel in this field also, cause the nurturing side of me is so fierce, and compassionate that nothing would stop me from loving that individual.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Saying good bye to the kid(s) at the end of a productive day. Just seeing their happy faces, getting hugs and kisses and walking me to the door, is so surreal. Seeing their eyes lit up by saying " see you in the morning "
For me that's my most happy moment.
For me that's my most happy moment.

Babysitter Available in New York, NY: Amy D.
Hi, I'm Amy! I'm 22 and live in New York City. I'm a recent college grad, and I'm the oldest daughter in my family, so being responsible and looking out for others has always come naturally to me.
I've worked with people of all ages in past research and community roles, including direct work with children and teens, which gave me a lot of experience staying patient, present, and easy to talk to.
With kids, I'm attentive, easygoing, and good at reading what they need in the moment. I'd love to bring that same care to your family.

Babysitter Available in New York, NY: Jada A.
Hi, my name is Jada. I’m 20 years old and based in the Bronx. I’ve been around kids my whole teenage years and helped raise my two younger siblings, who are 7 and 14, which has given me hands-on experience with childcare as they’ve grown and developed. While I don’t have children of my own and haven’t worked in a daycare or babysat professionally yet, I’m passionate about working with kids and would love to make childcare my career. I genuinely enjoy watching children learn, grow, and expand their knowledge over time, and I’m eager to bring that same care, patience, and attention to other families.

Full-Time Nanny Available in New York, NY: Sarah C.
Hi there,
I am a 29 year old qualified Early Childhood teacher and have recently relocated to New York City from New Zealand. I have a green card so I am eligible to work in the United States.
I have work in Early childhood centers for 7 years in Auckland New Zealand, mainly following a Reggio Emilia philosophy. I have experience teaching children from birth to 5 years old, with the majority of my experience being with under twos. I have also worked for an Au Pair agency in New Zealand as a family and program manager. In this role I was the main contact person for Au Pairs and their host families to support them with everything in their placement from conflicts to the educational side of things.
I am a very caring, passionate, patient, enthusiastic and friendly person who aims to make a worthwhile and valuable contribution, not only to children's learning but also my place of employment. I have a good understanding of children's developmental stages and educational needs due to my education and experience working with children. In the early years I feel it is important for children to develop strong, meaningful relationships with the people around them as they are building confidence in their own abilities. I am a firm believer in giving children the time and space to let them actively explore the world around them in their own time and at their own pace. I really enjoy being with children, seeing their passion for life as they reach different milestones, building them up to be confident, competent young learners all while having fun.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm Regards,
Sarah

The Fit:
Looking for a long-term, position with a family who is looking for a college-educated, experienced, energetic, creative, and reliable caregiver. After spending the last two years in finance, I have decided to return to my deep roots as a musician and pursue a career as a songwriter and composer. I realized it would not be possible to work 60-hour weeks in the finance world and simultaneously pursue a meaningful career as a musician, so I am looking for a ~25 hour-a-week position that would be enjoyable, utilize my skills/experiences, and allow me sufficient time-off to write. I love kids and have tons of experience as a babysitter and au pair, so for me it would be ideal to work either mornings or afternoons/evenings with a family, and then have the other half of the day to devote to my music at home.
Experience/Background:
I have 12 years of paid childcare experience with infants to 9-year-olds. I am most experienced with 5-9-year-olds.
In addition to my experience as a babysitter, I also spent a total of three summers and one fall as an au pair in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) and Germany (Munich).
Fun Fact:
I am the oldest of 4 children.
Style:
I prefer to be active/energetic/creative, and my references can tell you that I would usually prefer making up imaginative games than being in front of a screen.
Special skills:
Tutoring piano (classically trained since age 4, have perfect pitch), tutoring elementary Spanish (majored in Latin American Studies in college), helping with writing homework, choreographing dances (I danced ballet since age three), cooking (I especially like to cook italian food), making up fun spy games, running around (I ran track and played soccer in high school), singing, and making up fun songs.
Given this information, do you think we would be a suitable match?
I look forward to hearing from you, and will happily provide references and additional information upon request.
