During my senior year of high school I was selected to be a teacher’s assistant for the front desk receptionist for the elementary school and worked with kids ages 5-10. I have also volunteered at a summer day camp where I was a teacher’s assistant for a first grade class working with 5-6 year olds.

I love watching kids color! I enjoy watching them let their creative juices flow and watch them be so proud of their beautiful picture! I also love taking them to parks and letting them run around and explore. This helps them build confidence by doing a new difficult task such as the monkey bars or going down a slide by themselves. I love activities that are both fun and educational.

Giving the child(ren) a person they know they are comfortable and safe around. I think it’s important for a nanny to be well educated about early childhood milestones and development.

I was watching a ten month old baby and he discovered the spring type door stoppers on the walls and just sat there playing with them for about 30 minutes. It was so adorable and I think about it every time I see that type of door stop!
