More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have babysat for many families. Including some teachers from my school and family friends. I also worked as a referee at I9 children’s sports.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Usually we don’t leave home unless the parents allow so, which is never a problem because we have fun in the home. Depending on ages I will get everybody together to help prep dinner because, it’s engaging and you really can’t mess it up. I also bring fun board games or learning activities. If they want to play with those. My favorite thing to do though is definitely dinner because I really like to cook and it can be really fun if taught right.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny for me is definitely patience, listening, and communication. Sometimes you will have to compromise a plan or what your normal routine is to fit a child’s needs. It may be days where they just aren’t feeling you and I don’t take that personal because even kids have their days just like adults.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was with this mother and daughter. I would go over there just about twice a week to watch her daughter, but she contacted me on my day off, which was rare so apparently her daughter had a project where she had to bake for the class and her mother did not know how to bake. So she’s like “I need a bigggg favor, I need you to teach me and my child how to bake” it was so hilarious. Her mom was a nurse and I love that she was always willing to go the extra mile for her child even if that meant learning how to bake for the first time. Everything turned out delicious.
