I’ve been babysitting for over 8 years and have worked as a full-time nanny for the past 3 years. During that time, I’ve cared for children of various ages, from infants to school-aged kids, while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. My experience goes beyond basic childcare and includes planning educational activities, preparing meals, helping with homework, maintaining routines, transporting children to activities, and assisting with light household tasks related to the children. I love planning activities that keep children engaged, active, and learning while having fun. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts, reading books, outdoor adventures, nature walks, playground trips, scavenger hunts, baking, sensory play, building with blocks or LEGOs, imaginative play, puzzles, board games, science experiments, music and dance, and age-appropriate educational activities. I also enjoy helping children build confidence through everyday experiences, whether that’s practicing new skills, encouraging independence, or simply making ordinary moments exciting.

The most important part of being a nanny is recognizing that every child is unique. I believe in meeting children where they are, supporting their individual personalities, interests, and learning styles rather than expecting a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to help them become confident, kind, and independent while making childhood fun. Knowing I’ve helped shape happy memories and positive experiences is what makes this career so rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of nannying is becoming part of a family’s journey. My current family has made me feel so included, from celebrating a preschool graduation to watching little ones take their first steps, learn their ABCs, and reach so many exciting milestones. Being trusted to share in those moments is something I never take for granted. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch children grow, gain confidence, and know I played a small role in helping them get there.
