A little bit about me

My nanny families call me Mary Poppins and I love it! I do my best to facilitate environments perfect for learning, creativity, and imagination. I have 10+ years of childcare experience and have worked in multiple childcare environments from classrooms to in home. I use all the learning I did in those different environments to create the perfect schedule for each of the kiddos I look after. Each child has their own personality, learning style, and schedule that fits them best! I do everything I can to set systems in place to best benefit the kids and, in turn, the whole family. Helping to create organization and taking on some the burden of home management is a passion of mine. If I can help parents have more time to spend enjoying time with their kids instead of worrying about household tasks, I do it! A happy home and relaxed parents results in happy and relaxed kids and, I believe that as a nanny, one of my jobs is to help facilitate that to the best of my ability.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been teaching children in a classroom for the past 10 years. I started as a classroom assistant at my church and by the time I graduated I was the room coordinator for 2 kindergarten children’s church rooms. I worked in a daycare for about 6 months but decided that wasn’t really a setting I enjoyed. I then moved on to being a party princess and the assistant manager for that party business. I started my degree in early childhood education but due to finances I was unable to finish. I found nannying and fell in love with the field! I’ve been nannying for 3 years now for a variety of ages and love it!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to get my current kiddos out and about at least once a week! We are loving the library programs right now. About a year ago I started combining my love and knowledge of teaching in a classroom with my love for a more one on one feel with nannying and created a “curriculum” for each of my kiddos that includes a monthly theme, craft plans, game ideas, outings, snacks, and a meal plan. Creating this plan really helped the communication and organization with parents because they know exactly what we’ve been doing all day and what their kids are learning!

The most important part about being a nanny...

creating and facilitating space for parents to get to enjoy their kids without the stress of the day to day household management. If I can relieve some of the burden of all that comes with having a family (meal planning/prep, cleaning, calendar management, etc) then I will in a heartbeat! I find parents often don’t get to enjoy their time with their kids because they’re so worried about all the things on the to do list! My main job, besides creating a safe and fun environment for the kids, is to help families have more, stress free time together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I am currently nannying a 2 year old but when I met her she had just turned 1! I’ve gotten to be a part of watching her grow and learn big things. We’ve gone from babbling to having full conversations and that is an incredible feeling! My favorite thing she does now that she’s talking is call me when I’m on vacation or on days I’m not with her. We FaceTime often and I enjoy every moment. I’m happy to know she misses me enough to want to talk to me when I’m not there! It means I’m doing my job well!!

My name is Rebeka Pena, I am the youngest of two sister and I've always wanted a little sibling. I feel it would be fun to experience taking care of younger kids so that I can be ready for later in life aswell. I also find it important that I start helping my family out with money because I'm 16 and I know they can struggle sometimes. I try to clean up my house when I can and I also like to make food for my family when I feel kind.

Princess A. - Seeking Work in Tulsa

Part-Time Nanny Available in Tulsa, OK: Princess A.

Hello my name is princess, I am 19 years old in college studying nursing. I love children and I have so many years of experience with them. I grew up in a large family as the third child so I had to take care of my younger siblings when my parents were away. Because of this, I learnt to provide for them accurately and adequately. I also babysit my nieces or nephews when their parents are away. This has made me really familiar with children and infants.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Tulsa, OK: TyYana H.

lam a Certified Nursing assistant I love to take care of anyone in need. It brings me delight and joy. I am very outgoing and will be there best friends but also an adult the children would look up to. I'm very trusting. I have been an Aid for about 5 to 6 years now. I've always wanted children of my own and I think this would be a great opportunity for me to appreciate the lives of the little ones. I want to get out of nursing because even though I love taking care of people my dream was to help children. This would be an amazing opportunity to help me learn and set my life from here. Especially as a wife wanting to have children of my own.
