I’m graduating from Cornell this May as a Government and English major. Outside of studies, I’ve spent the past three years building a board gaming community at Cornell, running a literary magazine, hiking, and propagating my plants. I believe that the most valuable experiences that kids can have are those away from screens. I would love to bring some of my kid-friendly games to teach, to go on walks with, and to engage in any kind of play that your children enjoy :). I also love cooking and cleaning, and am great at juggling either while watching kids.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I did a lot of repeat babysitting for multiple families (2 with 2 kids, 1 with 1) over the course of two years! I’ve cared for kids between the ages of 3-11 mainly, with some experience looking after a baby occasionally.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing board games, going on trips to libraries/museums, reading books, going outside (walks, swimming, hiking, sports), teaching them to/letting them help in a safe capacity with cooking/baking, gardening/educating about the natural world

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that the kids are having fun, learning, and being safe! Minimal screen time is also very important to me if possible, I think being present is very important for developmental growth.

My experience with special needs children...

None, but I would be happy to learn! I have friends with disabilities and I know that even with a disability a kid is just a kid and they deserve to have fun & be happy too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the kids I was babysitting tried to lock me and her little sister out of the house because I wouldn’t give her ice cream before dinner (yes, I had a key, yes she didn’t get ice cream)
