Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I LOVE coloring. I use it as something to do when Im listening to music or need some time to wind down. Crafts are also something I love to do. Diy projects are fun and educational. I like to limit screen time as much as possible.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety! Safety is my first priority when it comes to kids of any age. Safety can be a very general grey area and you want to be sure you are meeting someone whose definition of safety is the same as yours. My job is to make sure your kids are safe and are not getting injured, along with ensuring they are well nourished, and staying hydrated. In Arizona we can experience over 110 degree whether. With that being said I will not allow a child outside longer than 1 hour but with some conditions (water break every 10-15 minutes and a break inside or in the shade at 30 minutes to ensure your child will not over heat). I have many other techniques and skills that will benefit your child and if you would like to hear more please reach-out. Along with safety is ensuring your kids are happy and smiley when you come home (please look further bellow on info about that). If I think anything is wrong with your child you will be notified right away.
My experience with special needs children...
While I did work in a classroom for a bit I worked specifically with a kid who had very bad ADHD. I am very informed with ADD/ADHD as I myself have had very close contact with working with kids and teenagers with ADD/ADHD.
