Hi,
I am from Turkey. I speak English and Turkish. I am a developmental psychologist and a postdoctoral researcher. I have four little siblings so my caregiving journey started very early. Then I worked as a caregiver in Turkey in my extra hours when during undergraduate and graduate years. I am very emphatic towards children and can easily take their perspective. I have a deep understanding on child development so I can support their development. My English is not flawless but I have been here since just two weeks. One of the reasons that I am looking for a job is to improve my English. So if you can give me a little time, my English will be much better. According to highly influential self-determination theory, we need to feel that we are competent and teaching something to others would support our feeling of competence. So your children’s development actually will be supported every time they teach me something in English language.
