A little bit about us…

We are a mixed race couple living in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. My husband works fully remote from home, and I am in office three days a week. We are welcoming our first child, a baby girl, in March. We will be raising our child bilingual as my husband was born in Zim/from South Africa and speaks Shona. A bonus would be for our nanny to know either Shona or someone that knows some Spanish (my husband is conversational in Spanish and I can understand a bit). We plan on continuing our lifestyle of traveling with baby girl, so there could be opportunity to travel with us in the future. She has family all over the world, and one of our first trips will be to the UK to visit relatives there. We are still working through start dates and days we would need a nanny.

Duties include keeping the household tidy and functional and laundry for the kids. The Martin Family

Seattle, WA

A little bit about us…

We have a 22-month old son that is very social with other children. He loves learning, singing, art, dancing, and exploring outside. He’s a bit of a goofball and loves to laugh.

Looking for a babysitter with experience. Someone who is kind, energetic, & caring. Someone who can work calmly and patiently with a toddler who may experience the occasional big emotional response due to first-time separation anxiety from parents.

We are also pregnant and looking to find someone who is comfortable/willing to grow with our family. (Not sure if this matters, but parents work hybrid schedule, so they will be there to assist on most occasions if needed.)

Our interests and values include kindness, love, fun, & nurturing. Our parenting style draws from “gentle parenting principles” that focus on positive and constructive interactions to help child navigate big emotions and the world while staying firm on boundaries.

There is street parking and public transportation near our home. Also, have a small backyard area that is child friendly and live close to lots of parks. We have two cats who will hide but are very gentle and tend to avoid toddler.
