A little bit about us…

We'll need a part-time nanny for our twins beginning in April. They'll turn 1 year old this summer and they are our only children. They were born 6 weeks premature and spent their first 3 weeks in the NICU, but have no special needs for care. They're just petite, with slightly weakened immune systems, and they'll be 6 weeks behind on most developmental milestones until age 2.

We live in a 2-story house in a neighborhood on the Kent/Covington/Black Diamond line. Mom & Dad both work from home full-time and will be upstairs in our offices most of the day; we need someone to be with the babies on the main floor from around 9:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday to handle feedings, diaper changes, clothing changes as needed, snuggles, play time and practicing sitting/standing/crawling, reading books, outdoor time/stroller walks, two daily naps, and baths. Also, very light housekeeping connected to the children; washing bottles and other baby dishes/toys, vacuuming the carpet where they play if needed, cleaning up after lunch, and putting away toys to remove tripping hazards. No other chores! We have 2 sweet cats who will be around but won't require care beyond letting them in/out from the fenced-in back yard. The babies currently nap twice daily in their nursery on the 2nd floor.

We're flexible and generally not anxious parents, but we're also organized and routine-focused. We want to raise kind, open-minded, curious, progressive, assertive kids. We're looking for a nanny who is patient, kind, and calm; who wants open communication; who understands that children are new to all of this and can give them grace; and who believes children's emotional development & mental wellness is nearly as important as their physical safety. We want our nanny to feel comfortable and respected in our home, and to feel like they can trust us. We'd prefer someone who has experience caring for young twins! Hoping for a long-term nanny (3+ years) who can care for them as their needs evolve.
