My wife and I are expecting our first child in March, but will be looking for nanny services starting in August when school is back in session. Our nanny needs will likely include Mondays and Fridays, 6:30a-2:30p at a minimum, but could have occasional days during the week. We prefer to have a nanny come to our home where I will be immediately available for emergencies, but sleeping. I am a nurse that works 12hr night shifts (7p-7a) and my wife is a high school teacher, typically working (6:30a-4:30p). Since I will be home while the nanny is with our daughter, our hours in the afternoon are negotiable depending on if the nanny needs off at a specific time or would like more hours. We would be comfortable with a nanny 18 years or older, college students welcome. We prefer at least a year of experience with children less than 1 year, but are flexible, espically if the nanny is a good fit. We also perfer someone who is certified in child/infant CPR and someone who has a drivers license and own car to get back and forth to work. We would also like to be transparent and forthcoming regarding our family dynamic because it’s important that our nanny is also comfortable and understanding of our specific needs. We are queer, interracial and non-religious.
