A little bit about us…

My husband and I both work from home, but I’m about to be out of the home 2-3 days every week to pursue a new business opportunity, so we’d like to hire someone to help us around the house on those days. The shift starts several hours before the children are home from school so that the helper can assist with other household work, then pick up the children after school & watch them a few hours in the afternoon.

VERY IMPORTANT: Though is a hybrid position that includes meal prep, light housekeeping and 2 hours of child care, it is important to note that this is NOT a situation where we expect our Nanny to also become our housekeeper and cook, while watching the children. For example, the meal prep work we’d like our helper to take on would be completed before the children are home from school. Additionally, the housework in not full-scale cleaning (we have housekeepers who do that), but rather light housework like picking up, laundry and vacuuming, which would also be completed BEFORE the children are home from school.

BREAKDOWN OF A TYPICAL 6 HOUR SHIFT:

11:30 am - 1:00pm : Light Housewrok (picking up the house, laundry and vacuuming— no intensive cleaning as we have housekeepers for that)

1:00pm-2:45pm: Prep 1-2 meals (prepping dinners for that evening and one other evening. Many times these won’t be cooked yet, but prepped in the pan and put in the fridge) and prepping snacks (cutting up fruits/vegetables, making other snacks)

2:45pm- 4:30 pm: Pick our 2 children (ages 6 & 9) up from school, give them their snack, play with them, help them with home work. At 4:30pm, my husband will take over caring for the children

4:30pm-5:30pm: Cook the dinner for that evening (hopefully prepped in advance earlier in the day, so it’s relatively easy to finish) and clean the kitchen.

SCHEDULE:
The schedule would alternate every other week. each shift would be 6 hours, from 11:30 am-5:30 pm

WEEK 1: WED/THURS
WEEK 2: THURS/FRI
