Angie - Seeking Work in Wetumpka

22.85 / hour

I have been taking care of kids sense I was a junior in high school. I worked at an elementry after school care until I graduted high school in 98, working with some kindergarten age children to first or second grade. Then that December I applied at another after school care, taking care of 2 to 4 or 5 yr olds after school. Monoriting & helping them at lunch and nap time. After nap time, they went outside for a while, then they came in washed there hands, got some water and had a snack, watched a movie, then went back outside. If the weather was either too hot, rainy or too cold, we stayed in, and played in a room until the parents came. I left that after school in June or July 2001. I needed more hours and more money. In August 2001 I was hired to work at a day care taking care and helping with the 6 wks to 4 to 6 month age group mainly. I did help in other age groups, the older infants and early toddlers. I really enjoyed working with the little ones, that was my favorite, but I also enjoyed the other ages too. I had to leave that day care because I got married and I had to move to Wetumpka, AL with my husband. I have two cousins that have younger age children, and I love it when I get to see them. They are so much fun to play with.
