I first started babysitting for friends of the family when i was about 12 years old. One family had 3 children. One was 2, one was 4 and one was 5. I continued babysitting for them for 3 years. Another family I babysat for had 5 children, ranging from the ages of 3 to 11. Also, I constantly baby-sit for my nieces, nephews, and cousins. They all range in ages from newborns to 7 years old. I also have other years of experience with children that do not include babysitting. In high school, I took two semesters of a class called C.O.O.P. (Child Oriented Occupational Program) that is offered at Ironwood High School (Peoria Unified School District). This class teaches how to create and prepare lesson plans for preschool aged children. After i created and prepared the lesson plans, I then taught them. The preschool class had children ages 3-5 in it. I also worked after school hours in the C.O.O.P. classroom until all the parents had picked up their children. This gave me a lot of experience with the children, as well as keeping the parents updated with everything that happens with their child. The final childcare experience i have is being an intern at Heritage Elementary (Peoria Unified School District) in the 6th grade class room. During this internship I was a teachers assistant/tutor. My duties consisted of grading papers, filing reports, helping children when they didn’t understand, helping supervise on the playground, ect.

I started babysitting when I was 12 yrs old. I have loved children for as long as I can remember. I became a nanny to my first Family when I was 20. They had 3 children, two boys and a baby girl. I was with them for a little over 2 yrs, when the Family was transferred out of state for job relocation. It was really hard to have them leave as I had become part of their Family.:( I since have been a nanny to many Families and I am currently signed up with a nanny agency, where I have been doing temp work for Families coming to Phx for vacations, until I find my perfect fit with a great Family! :) I currently care for twin boys who just turned 1 and also an 11 mo old little boy. I have both families just 1 day a week, so I am available for one more part time family during the week. I do know my schedule approx 1 mo in advance.

I have cared for children in the daycare setting & in the private home.I was responsible for all the care & activities for these children as per their parents instructions. This included but was not limited to the feeding ,diapering, nap & playtime activities, school, homework, music lessons, discipline potty training, doing age appropriate activities & crafts, out door fun time ,walks, swimming & the park, as well as being household manager. This entailed doing the cooking laundry, floors, making beds, some shopping & errands, plus taking care of 3 large dogs. I found it very rewarding, especially when the kids accomplished a new concept, or did a good job whether in school or otherwise. Love, praise & affection are all necessary to the well being of a child. To help a child grow in new areas is so exciting for everyone involved. I love kids!!

I have worked with children of all ages. I baby sat for a family during high school that had five children ages 8 months-12 years. I have also volunteered in kindergarten, first, second, and third grade classrooms because I am a student at the U of A majoring in Early Childhood Education. In my professional program at the U of A I have spent 80 hours actively observing in a 3-5 year old preschool classroom and a semester student teaching in said classroom.I have also baby sat children with mental and behavioral disabilities. I volunteered for several year with a program for special needs children, we taught these children to sing dance and act to put on a play. All of my experiences with children have been rewarding in so many ways and they bring me so much joy.

I have been working with children for nearly 10 years in daycare, after-school program and babysitting settings. I currently hold a full-time position with a non-profit after-school program as an Impact Specialist, and my core responsibilities include providing education and cultural programs to youth ages 5-18. I am also well trained in managing classrooms with as many as 30-40 kids at one time, while running effective activities and games. I have a background in art, and attended art school in New York City, as well as Arizona State University. I am particularly experienced in bringing The Arts to children, and ran the Art Classroom for two years. Prior to my years with After-school care, I worked for xx Daycare, and developed experience with children ages 1 month-10 years old. I am passionate about youth development in classroom settings, but am looking for a unique opportunity to bring my experience to a smaller family unit.

In the summer of 2014 I was a nanny for twins who were, at the beginning, five months old. I read to them, signed to them, sang to them, cleaned the house, along w the essentials like feeding and diaper changing. I had to stop in August because of school but I still watch them when their current Nanny is sick or I watch them when their parents need to go out.
