Hi! My Name is Janai and I'm a Bio student at LMC. I have close to 10 years of experience in childcare from various nanny, daycare, babysitting, and church nursery jobs I've held throughout the years as well as working with my own family, seeing as I'm the oldest of eight. My goals in childcare are to make sure the child is always in a fun safe environment that enrich and stimulate their mind.

Although infants and toddlers are my favorites, I don't have age restrictions. Right now I'm seeking full-time work but will still accept date night and one time jobs. I do not work Sundays. Major holidays are time and a half.

POLICIES
- RATES: I negotiate my rates based on job expectations and the rate stays the same whether the child is asleep or awake. Since this is my main source of income, I expect to be paid for the full time I'm booked.
- MINIMUM: Minimum booking is 3-4 hours (flexible for in person/working interviews)
- CANCELLATIONS: First-time cancels will be overlooked. After that, I expect half the booking fee for cancellations with less than a 24-hour notice. I strive to conduct myself professionally and expect the same from parents
- EARLY RETURNS: Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking, even if you come home early.
- LATE RETURNS: I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but please text/call me if you'll be late, especially if we have not discussed flexibility beforehand. I occasionally book jobs back to back with just enough time for travel in between, and your late return can have an unfortunate impact on my schedule.
- TRANSPORTATION: Most of the time I use public transportation for jobs because it's more cost efficient and saves me from commuter traffic. I only use a car it the job requires me to be out past 11 pm.

-. I reserve the right to collect the total amount owed and leave if children and/or parents are ill and the illness is not previously disclosed. I work for a number of children throughout the week and do not want to unnecessarily make them needlessly sick. I do not consent to be recorded in any manner. This includes apparatuses known as stroller cams and trackers; A camera in a bedroom as part of a monitor is perfectly acceptable.

Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to working with your family.

I spent more than 15 years working in preschools. I found that I enjoy working with smaller numbers of children. Therefore, I decided to become a nanny and care children in their homes. I have been a nanny for approximately about 8 years.

I was a nanny for a wonderful family for 1 !/2 years and due to the economy I lost my job. The kids are now 9 and 6. I picked them up from school, took them to activities. Soccer, piano, ballet, playdates, library, park. I helped with homework, and cooked dinner for kids, bath, story time and tucked in. I thought of those kids as my own and I will always be in there lives.

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
