Hi lovely families!!

Wow what a big decision picking a nanny!! I have been in your position before and know how important this is for you. Here is a little bit of information about me, hopefully we will be a good fit!

Since a young age, I have always loved being around and playing with kids. I grew up in a large family of six where I was always caring for my younger siblings. I helped my mom teach Sunday school, volunteered in the nursery and continued to be a nanny throughout my high school and college years. Eventually I gave up being a nanny for my full-time career.

For the last 12.5 years I have worked for Starbucks, most recently as a District Manager and had to juggle raising my 2 year old son and staff of 250+, similar to many for you.

So why am I looking for a nanny job?

The simple answer is that I quit my job, have more time on my hands than necessary and simply love kids. The complicated answer is that my husband and I lost our 2nd child, Wesley, during birth about 6 months ago. After losing and healing from this loss, I decided that I wanted to seize life differently and put in my notice at work. My work, family and community were wildly supportive of me. I am in a great place now where I really want to pour into other peoples lives.

Well, thank you for letting me over share. I know how hard the role is and would love to support you in any way I can.

Finer Details:
-Rate: $30-$50
-$30 rate would be for if I was able to bring my 2 year old along
-$50 rate for 2 kids
-Availability: Completely Open for all of August
-Transportation: We have a Porshe Cayanne and BMW, both very reliable

Other Notes:
-I have a bachelors degree in Business
-Being active is a huge part of my life I regularly go to Crossfit. I just completed the SLO half marathon and Astoria, OR half.
-I enjoy sharing my passion for painting, drawing, reading and creating with others.
-I studied American Sign Language for 3 years. I can confidently converse with a infant :)

Hello,
My name is Shanley Wilson, I am a CSUN and Calabasas High School graduate. I have been a nanny in the Westlake Village and Calabasas area for 6 years. I have been a babysitter in the Hidden Hills and Calabasas area for 8 years. I began babysitting and nannying after volunteering at Round Meadow Elementary in my mother’s classroom. I believe what makes me a great nanny is the bond that I create with the child/children and family. I believe in building a relationship of trust, honesty, and loyalty with the family I work with. I am great with time management and believe in having fun but also getting work done when needed. I know it is difficult to leave your children in the care of someone else besides yourself so I try to do my best to make you feel comfortable and secure. The last two families I have worked for were in the entertainment industry so I know how to be flexible with my schedule. The last family I worked for moved out of state and called me several months later asking me to move across the country to be their live in nanny for 7 months while the mother was recovering for surgery. I didn’t hesitate and was packed up ready to help. My time here in Nashville has been served well and now it’s time to go back home to California. I love working with children and I grew up with an awesome mother as a mentor since she works as an elementary school teacher. I have outstanding references as well.

I have been a lifeguard for 5 consecutive years now.. the primary reason I have stayed with this job field is working with young children. I also do swim lessons for children and it is my favorite part of the job. I love to be a positive person in a young persons life. Children and parents can always count on me to be the most respectful, responsible, and uplifting person to them. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and hobbies with children, and being someone they can rely on. I have attended Wayne State University as well for he past 5 years, so I am more then capable of multitasking and being a well rounded, intelligent young woman.
