I have been babysitting since I was in middle school and I am now 26 years old. I've cared for children of all ages in large and small families. I love being active with kids including playing outside, doing arts and crafts, and tutoring. I worked as a nanny for three years during college for a family that I previously babysat for. I picked their two children up from school, cooked them food, and helped them with their homework. I am currently a babysitter for a boy just under two years old and a tutor for a third grade girl. I earned a Liberal Studies degree from Cal State San Marcos in 2009 and I am just finishing the Multiple Subject Credential Program at CSUSM and will be credentialed to teach K-5. I have a great deal of experience working with kids in this age range academically, socially, and behaviorally including upwards of 700 hours in K, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade classrooms. I am currently working as a K-8 substitute teacher.

I have been working as a nanny for a single father of 4 young children, ages 3, 4, 7 and 9. 3 boys and the oldest being a girl. The father can no longer afford a nanny, so I am seeking new employment. I am a mother of 2 grown boys, ages 19 and 22. So I have had experience with infants-teens. I absolutely love working with children, and I am quite energetic for my 50 years. When my children were young, I spent a lot of time volunteering in their classrooms as a teacher's aid, and also volunteered in my father's grade school classroom when I was younger. I had 2 younger siblings while I was growing up, that were 6 & 8 years younger than myself, and was left in charge with them from a very young age. I also did a lot of babysitting for my neighbors families while growing up. My previous nanny duties included but were not limited to: Preparing all meals, packing lunches, getting children dressed and ready for school, driving children back and forth from school, helping the children with homework, taking the children to the park, playing games with the children (learning games, board games, children's card games, hotwheels, grocery store, Simon says, etc...), Playing ball outdoors(soccer, baseball, etc... Reading to the children, working on arts and crafts projects, baking and cooking with the children, and light to medium housekeeping. I am a loving, gentle, patient, nurturing Christian woman who maintains good morals and standards, a self starter, hard worker, and I am very clean and organized. Since I am a licensed Cosmetologist (worked in the beauty industry for the last 33 yrs and currently do hair on the weekends still) , I included my hair cutting services as well, which is a plus, when you have 4 young children who need their haircut often. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon! I am available for hire immediately. Regards, Linda

i nannied for a family in Chicago. The mom is a doctor and the dad owns a real-estate company in Chicago. They are both very busy professionals. They also lived about 45 miles from each other. The family provided me with a car for both work and personal business. I did not live in with either the mom or dad, but did many overnights when the mom was on call at the hospital. I took the children to and from school, and cared for them until their parents where home from work. The family and I agreed on a weekly base rate for an average nannying work week, but i was able to earn more money babysitting evenings and weekends if I chose to work the extra hours. The family I worked for is happy to be contacted for references.

I began babysitting for several families in my youth and continued that through college. I babysat for large families, up to 7 children! My mother taught me to be a great homemaker and teacher in the home which further prepared me for both motherhood and my career as a nanny. I am the mother of three children, two in college and one teenager. For the last 14 years, I have developed my career as a professional nanny being a "mother" figure for many children over the years. I have loved this work and these families so much. I find great joy and satisfaction in nurturing and loving children and supporting families in their quest for a happy and healthy life.
