My day-to-day duties included the complete care of the children, most included the following: A) I strive to teach children consistency, proper speech, the basics of counting, their ABCs, shapes, colors, courtesy, sharing, neatness and music appreciation as their development permits. I also believe that nurturing a respect of nature and animals is important to their overall wellbeing. B) I play with the children in a fashion that encourages healthy speech and personality development. In addition, I understand that there are times throughout the day when children need quiet time to play by themselves. C) I was also involved in the purchasing, preparation and serving of healthy meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner (if applicable). D) I was responsible for the dressing and hygiene of the children. I made sure that the children were properly dressed for the activities in which they were engaged. E) Children were in bed for their proper naptime/bedtimes each day. F) I ensured that the children understood that certain activities (as prescribed by the parents) were forbidden. In no event were the children allowed to engage in any activity, which was deemed dangerous by the parents or me. I am always firm but loving with children. I do not believe that children are to be spanked or hit for transgressions. I always discussed the need for behavioral modification and suggested solutions with the parents. G) I regularly transported the children to and from school, classes, parks and special events, in my personal vehicle, for which I maintain full insurance.

I began working for a family when I was 16. The family had just adopted infant twin boys. They also had two older daughters, but I primarily cared for the twin boys. my responsibilities included: changing diapers, preparing bottles, feeding, bed time duties such as bath time, reading stories, and putting them to sleep. As they got older, I helped with potty training and weaning off bottles and pacifiers. Did light housekeeping duties like childrens laundry, washing bottles, making beds. At 19, I began temporarily working for family that had a newborn girl. I ended up staying with the family for five years. In the mean time, the family had another girl. So I took care of both. My resposibilities were the same as listed above.
