I did child development.I have been working as a professional child care provider and Doula for the past twenty years. I have experience working with children from all age groups...new born to teenagers. I do believe caregiver's involvement in daily activities can make a big difference in their cognitive growth... and here are some activities I find important and make sure I bring to my routine with your children: - LISTEN to the child in order to meet his/her needs. - Play _Introduce new concepts by reading books appropriate to your child's age group. - Make puzzles, and introduce manipulative toys - Listen to different kind of sounds and rhythm (classic, rock, salsa, samba, and etc)...cultural diversity. - Have art/ crafts material available for the child to use. (Ex: color pencils, markers, crayons, paint, paper, brushes, glue, scissors, and etc.) - Encourage dramatic play- pretending games allows the child to be whoever they want to. Very creative!! -Invite the child to help you with some cooking activity. The can learn several math concepts in the kitchen!!!! - Visit local bussiness, field trips (ex: pet store, market, museums and etc.) -Take the child to the park. It's great to help children work on their social and physical skills! - helping with homework. - Arrange play-dates Supervising indoor and outdoor play. -Newborn care - Meal preparation for children. Dressing children. - Organize children's room and play areas. - Drive to school and after school activities. -Doctors visits Full charge of children's schedules. Travel with family if needed.

I was recently takingcare of a little boy, he is turning 2, sadly his parents will register him in pre-school this summer and they won't really need my help. Colin is a joy and a really smart boy. I have been taking care of him for a little over 2 years. Prior to this job, I took care of 1 babygirl. When I started working the girl was 03 months and she is now 6 1/2 years old. And I still babysit her some weekend. I have been taking care of the girl exclusively. Before my little girl; I took care of 2 kids; when I started working for that family the older daughter was only 10 months; later on they had a boy and I also took care of him since he was born until he turned 2 1/2 years old; I worked for this family for over 4 years. Prior to that job I took care of 2 girls for 4 years as well. When I started working for the family the youngest girl was just a newborn, about 2 weeks old and the oldest was 3 y/o. I took care of them until it was time for the youngest one to start going to school. Before this job, I worked for a family for about 3 years taking care of a newborn girl and her older brother every other week when he came to stay with his dad. I stayed there until the girl was 3 years old. I have excellent references and I am still in contact with all the families I have worked for. Every so often I still take care of the kids over the weekends or if their parents go out of town. I simply love working with children, I have a great amount of experience I also feel confident on my skills to provide the children a safe enviroment and the best of cares.

Hi Families! My name is Diana and I'm an energetic, athletic, hardworking 30-year-old nanny who has worked as both a live-in and live-out nanny in the past. I have cared for children of all ages, from infant through the early teen years. I realize selecting the right person to care for your children and help run your household can be a daunting task, so I hope to be able to ease the transition by answering any questions you may have upfront. I will work thoughtfully and methodically with a new family to help transition the children to having a new caregiver. I am currently seeking a position working for a family who appreciates dependability, organization, and has good communication skills. I value and appreciate open feed back regularly about expectations, care of your children and general tasks around the home. I am always willing to help with whatever would make your life easier--whether that be childcare, housekeeping, pet care, event planning, etc...feel free to ask about help with anything household-related--I've probably done it before! If not, I will welcome the change of pace! Please feel free to request a FaceTime or Skype session so we can chat more.
